Orbit Rescue
Spin the station's ring so rescue ships slip through its gap and meteors slam into its armour.
Orbit Rescue
Deep Station Thalos is evacuating straight through a meteor stream. The automated defense ring around it has exactly one gap, and you control where that gap points.
Rescue ships have to get in. Meteors have to be kept out. Same ring, opposite jobs.
How to play
- A teal triangle with a cockpit is a rescue ship — put the gap on it and let it reach the dock.
- A coral rock marked with a cross is a meteor — turn the gap away so the armour takes the hit.
- A beacon on the outer rim shows the next target's position and kind before it launches, so
there is always time to decide.
- Lose a ship, or let a meteor reach the station, and the hull takes one point of damage.
- Survive all three waves with hull left and the station is saved.
Controls
Action, Keyboard, Pointer / touch
Rotate left, ← or A (hold), Hold the left arrow button
Rotate right, → or D (hold), Hold the right arrow button
Emergency shutter, Space, The round button in the middle
Pause, Esc or P, Pause button in the status bar
Help, —, ? button in the status bar
The game pauses itself whenever the tab loses focus, and waits for an explicit Resume. The shutter timer and its cooldown freeze with everything else.
Emergency shutter
The shutter seals the gap for 0.45 s, then recharges (7 s on Normal, 8 s on Hard). While it is closed nothing passes: a meteor is stopped, but a rescue ship arriving at that moment is lost too. It is a tactical answer to an awkward rock, never a shield — and every round can be cleared by rotation alone.
Three waves
Each wave is faster and tighter than the last, with a short repair breath between them. The schedule is generated from a ring path that is always reachable in time, so no wave can demand an impossible turn, and no wave can be beaten by standing still.
Scoring
Source, Points
Rescue ship docked, 100
Meteor stopped, 40
Combo (every correct call in a row), +10 per step rescuing, +5 blocking, capped at ten steps
PERFECT pass (within 8° / 5° of centre), +75
Hull left after the third wave, 150 each
One mistake clears the combo. Higher is better, and the leaderboard is kept separately for each difficulty.
Difficulty
Gap, Ring speed, Waves, Ships + rocks, Hull, PERFECT
Normal, 64°, 230 deg/s, 3 × 12, 27 + 9, 3, 8°
Hard, 44°, 255 deg/s, 3 × 15, 30 + 15, 2, 5°
Hard also drifts the ring on its own, so holding still is no longer the same as standing still.
Notes
- Four interface languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese.
- Sound can be muted at any time, and a reduced-motion mode removes trails, flashes and particles
while keeping every piece of information.
- Ships and meteors are told apart by shape and marking, not only by colour.
